What To Do If You Can't Cleanse

What To Do If You Can't Cleanse

Committing to a cleanse can take a lot of time and dedication. If you find you don't have the time, you can still do these habits every day to improve your health and well-being.

We designed the 21-day Clean Wellness Program to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It focuses on cleansing and detoxification through dietary change and supplementation. We recommend that everyone give it a try at some point. The results are incredible.

We aren’t going to sugarcoat it. It’s a commitment - to yourself, your health, and your growth. While we created the program with busy schedules in mind, many of our cleansers successfully finished despite their wild schedules. It's possible! But it does require conscious awareness and love.

We understand that sometimes that kind of commitment is simply not an option. Life can get in the way. And there is no reason to add stress to an already overwhelming schedule. We also don’t recommend doing the Clean Program if you are pregnant, nursing, or ill.

However, we believe there is always something that you can do to support your health.

Here's the light version of how to do a gentle cleanse without taking on the entire 21-day wellness program.

Daily Shake

Shakes are one of the easiest ways to support the body’s natural ability to cleanse and detoxify. They’re also easy to make, are loaded with nutrition, and set the tone for our whole day.

The Clean Daily Shake is a clean protein powder that’s both non-GMO and vegan. It has a unique blend of vitamins, minerals, high-quality protein, and fiber to help fill nutritional gaps and encourage clean eating. Plus, it tastes amazing!

Having a daily shake is a simple way to get water, easily digestible nutrients, and fiber into our bodies all at once. The cell structure of the ingredients in a blended shake is broken down by the liquefying process. That way, the nutrients are more readily available to be digested. They also give our digestive system a much-needed rest, which is a major component of the Clean Program.

Starting your morning with a shake can make a huge difference to your day!

Elimination Diet

Follow the Clean Program Elimination Diet for 21 days. The elimination diet is one of the most important aspects of the Clean Program. By following this diet, we are already seriously supporting our systems, decreasing inflammation, and allowing our body's natural healing capabilities to kick in. The intention behind this diet is to remove any foods causing a buildup of mucus, fat, and inflammation in our system.

While we're all familiar with what happens to the body that has excessive fat, too much mucus and inflammation can cause long-term damage as well.

Chronic inflammation can cause joint and tissue pain. Too much mucus can make it difficult to breathe.

Add in Cleansing Herbs and Foods

Many herbs can be an easy way to gently cleanse your body without making too many changes to your routine. Turmericgingergarlictriphala, and green tea can be great to add. The right foods in your diet can be cleansing too! We especially love adding dandelioncilantroartichokesbeetslemoncabbagearugula, and seaweed to our meals to increase their cleansing power.

Water

Increase your water intake to assist with detoxification. Water is essential for flushing the liver and kidneys, our primary detox organs. Drinking enough water helps keep the food we eat moving through our intestines and ultimately allows food waste to exit the body. If our bodies don’t have enough water, then stool becomes more difficult to pass. The elimination of waste from cells and the colon depends on water to move toxins out and keep stools soft.

Without proper hydration, the body is more susceptible to allergens and infections as it is unable to remove toxins. To keep your body running smoothly, up that water intake! Aim for at least 8-12 cups per day.

Extra Detox Benefits

If you can, schedule some extra detoxifying self-care. If you’re pregnant, nursing, or ill, schedule an appointment with your doctor before starting any dietary changes. These are some of our favorite ways to reap even more cleansing benefits:

Infrared sauna

Dry brushing

Deep breathing

Meditation

Hot-cold plunge

Detox bath

Know that no matter your lifestyle, you can always join in on the feel-good fun. Don’t let your circumstances prevent you from taking good care of yourself. You’re worth it, and the incredible benefits are too good to pass up!
