Golden Milk Recipe

  • Serves: 2

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes

  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 1 tablespoon turmeric

  • 2 tablespoon of ginger juice, or sliced ginger root to taste

  • 1 pint water

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon coconut palm sugar

  • ½ cup coconut milk

Directions:

Step 1: Place the dates, turmeric, and ginger in a pot along with the water and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, cover, and let stand for 5 minutes.

Step 2: After steeping, strain the tea into a blender to remove any solids, leaving only the infused liquid.

Step 3: Add the black pepper, vanilla extract, coconut palm sugar, and coconut milk to the blender along with the strained tea. Blend on high speed for about 45 seconds, or until the mixture is creamy and smooth. 

Step 4: Pour the golden milk into your favorite mug and enjoy it warm. For a finishing touch, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or turmeric on top.
